just saw your reply to my comment on the barge article and didn't want to clog it further.
you seriously suggesting that it doesn't take much force to move something like that once it's floating? most barges can carry 1500 tons (wikipedia it) which means they must weigh like 200 AT LEAST when they're empty. considering dirt jumpers are airborne for no more than 2 seconds at a time, you'd have to a fucking enormous FREAK wave for the barge to move a considerable amount whilst the riders are in the air. which, as it's in a harbour, obviously won't happen. get your fucking facts and physics in order before you start calling people a retard, retard. fucking hell pinkbike is full of fucktards if my comment got downvoted. johnny, I know what the guy was on about and my point makes sense - everything's relative so if the barge is moving at a constant 1 or 2mph then the rider won't even know about it. same if the barge was doing 30mph (except higher windspeed may affect the rider), I was pointing out that the only way for movement of the barge to affect the rider would be if it suddenly moved whilst he was airborne. I.e. instantaneously! get your fucking grammar right for a start before you throw the retard card around anyway how are you going to instantaneously move a barge which must weight like 200+ tons whilst you're in the air? ridiculous suggestion
